Dr Karen Joyce is an academic and researcher using drone technology to map the Great Barrier Reef using a range of remote sensing applications. Dr Joyce is also a co-founder of She Flies, which is a for purpose organisation, aiming to increase the equality in the STEM workforce. She Flies engages with girls in schools, using drones as a vehicle for increasing their confidence and engagement in STEM subjects.
