His remit is to develop and execute the technology strategy and lead the global team responsible for delivery of data-related projects and innovation. Darren’s previous roles at ANZ include General Manager, Technology Institutional and Global Head of Technology for Global Markets.

Prior to joining ANZ in 2008, Darren worked across a multitude of industries in IT-based roles at Toyota, Deutsche Bank, Reuters and a dot com.  Darren holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and a MBA.

She has worked as a consultant in several large organisations in Australia. She has a well-rounded experience and progressed through various technical and delivery roles.  She has successfully led technical teams and is a keen and enthusiastic learner, and always endeavours to keep abreast with latest technology trends. Her assignments include delivering an end-to-end Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence program, and working on a Big data platform implementation in a lead role.

Serene has also consulted in Telecommunications, Retail and Financial Services industries, with a keen passion for the intersection between technology, business process optimisation and enabling super-user organisations
jeff-feldman-10x160Jeff Feldman, Director – Big Data & Analytics, Deloitte Jeff is a seasoned professional, specialising in bringing to market emerging technologies and cutting-edge trends.  Over his 18 year career, which has spanned North/South America, Europe, Russia and Asia Pacific he has been involved with a number of leading tech startups and global conglomerates, including leading the architecture of a few $100M+ projects for some of the world’s largest telecommunication companies.  In his current role with Deloitte, he helps lead the Big Data & Analytics agendas, working with clients from Logistics, Transport, Telecommunications, Health and FSI.  His passion has always been at the intersection of the Customer, Data and Insights, and presently has a keen interest in geo-spatial/proximity based solutions

Steve Morris, General Manager – Big Data, TelstraSteve Morris is a Technology Enthusiast, General Manager and Customer Advocate who has over 20 years of experience delivering technology projects. Since joining Telstra in 2003, he has reviewed major projects on behalf of the Board Audit Committee, advised on controls during a $1bn CRM and billing transformation, and deployed the technology foundation for Telstra’s Customer Experience and NPS work. More recently, he has implemented Big Data technology that significantly enhanced customer service and outcomes to boost Telstra’s Net Promoter Score (NPS). This major project involved complex infrastructure design, vendor assessment and selection, hiring software engineers and data scientists, security and privacy challenges, and then finally helping key user groups realise business value

Dharmendra prides himself as someone who can explain the new IT world in an easy manner based on real life use cases.  He is passionate about running his charity foundation that enables better school environment in developing world. He lives in Melbourne with his wife and two children.
