Join us to hear from Gerard Florian, Group Executive Technology at ANZ and Stephanie Stevenson, Senior Manager Technology at ANZ, as they each share their experiences working to support and promote women in technology.

Gerard has worked in technology for more than 30 years. He is responsible for defining ANZ’s technology strategy, and building and managing ANZ’s technology infrastructure. Stephanie has most recently worked on ANZ’s IT Strategy to assist with the delivery of the Digital banking agenda (ITaaS), translating strategy into action through initiatives supporting “as a Service” initiatives across the bank.

Gerard and Stephanie are both passionate about creating a diverse Technology workforce and will be able to provide you with two different perspectives on what we can do to work towards achieving this goal.

ABOUT GERARD FLORIAN

Gerard is currently a Group Executive Technology at ANZ with over 30 years’ experience working in the technology industry.

Gerard is responsible for defining ANZ’s technology strategy, and building and managing ANZ’s technology infrastructure. This includes overseeing the development of new technologies, implementing existing technologies to help the Bank reach their strategic goals and creating systems and processes to make the best use of ANZ’s resources.

He was previously Chief Strategy Officer for the Global Cloud Business Unit at Dimension Data where he was instrumental in the establishment of a portfolio of cloud-enabled managed services operating on a global platform. Prior to that, Gerard was Chief Technology Officer and Chief Marketing Officer for Dimension Data’s Australian division. He has also been a member of ANZ’s Technology and Digital Business Advisory Panel since it was established in 2015.

ABOUT STEPHANIE STEVENSON

Stephanie is currently Senior Manager Technology at ANZ. She has most recently worked on ANZ’s IT Strategy to assist with the delivery of the Digital banking agenda (ITaaS), translating strategy into action through initiatives supporting “as a Service” initiatives across the bank.

As a technology leader, Stephanie believes strongly in collaboration, empowering and enabling teams, focusing on the customer and leveraging technology to provide better experiences for customers and employees. In support of this, she recently implemented a framework for distributed communications to empower teams to be visible and collaborative across a dispersed geography.

Stephanie holds a diverse network of strong relationships at leadership level across the enterprise. She actively works to support and promote female leader by providing both 1-on1 as well as group mentoring and coaching for emerging female leaders in technology.
