'Being a Woman in IT' - Guest Speaker Event - 17th February '11
The 'Being a Woman in IT' series is where we have asked a number of inspiring women in Information Technology, and related fields, to share their experiences with you about the job they do now, how they got to where they are, the challenges they have faced, the pitfalls they have experienced along the way and the successes they have celebrated. The series is designed to give you, our members and our guests, the opportunity to:
- Get ideas on how to progress your career
- Consider different career opportunities and alternatives
- Hear real life experiences on how to deal with some of the challenges you face as a woman in the workforce and
- Meet people and expand your network
Our speaker for the 17th February is the Vic ICT for Women Patron Chris Gillies. Chris is a non-executive director and advisor to boards on establishing IT Governance leadership in the boardrooms. She has established and chairs three Board IT committees and advises a number of others. To read more about Chris
