Mentoring Program

... supporting progression and retention of women on ICT

Vic ICT for Women's Mentoring Program supports progression and retention of women in IT related careers by connecting participants, facilitating information sharing and creating a sense of community.

This program was first offered in 2007 and continues to provide a fantastic development opportunity for women through various stages of their careers. In 2016 the program attracted more than 160 participants covering around 90 mentoring relationships.

In 2017 we will continue to build this program to enhance the experience and offer further development and networking opportunities to our members to assist them towards achieving professional and career goals. Our Mentors offer great breadth and depth of experience across a range of industries and organisations, large and small. They offer their time and enthusiasm to advise, encourage and challenge their mentees to overcome real or perceived obstacles, and embrace change, in order to realise or re-position their goals.

To sustain and grow our program, we are asking Mentees to pay a modest fee of $99.00 including GST to participate on the 2017 Mentoring Program. Corporate and Education Sector Members will be invited to fund places for their employees or students.  Mentees must be financial Members of Vic ICT for Women, or employed by a Corporate or Education Sector Member.

While many of our Mentors are members of Vic ICT for Women or employed by a Corporate or Education Sector Member, it is not a requirement for participation in our program. No fee is charged for Mentor participation.

Registrations are now open for the 2017 Mentoring Program.
