A fun, FREE, interactive IT Career Showcase for years 7 – 12.
12th August 2014
Location: Deakin University, 221 Burwood Highway, Burwood
Why Go Girl?
The Go Girl Go for IT expo aims to encourage girls to take up careers in ICT – it brings together female role-models who work in a vast number of industries – from banking to television, multimedia to medicine, and much more. Speakers at the event will show that ICT careers for women are viable, enjoyable, global, and rewarding.
What will happen at the Go Girl event?
At Go Girl 2014, students will hear from and have the opportunity to talk to talented and inspirational role models with IT careers. There will be access to a wealth of information that will assist students in making informed IT career decisions. Girls will also enjoy free showbags, a DJ, a fun careers expo with leading industry employers, and interactive presentations from successful women who have built their careers in IT and how students can kick start theirs too. Lunch is provided with entertainment.
Girls will learn from our Patron, Karen Stocks, MD Twitter Australia about why working in IT is so rewarding and why #ITisit!
