The Chair of Vic ICT for Women, Chris Skipper-Conway, is currently in New York to champion gender diversity. She is presenting at a Parallel Forum that is running in conjunction with the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW62) in New York.
The theme for CSW62 is Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls. The sub-theme is Participation in and access of women to the media, and information and communications technologies and their impact on and use as an instrument for the advancement and empowerment of women.
Chris will proudly share the efforts VICT4W has been instrumental in achieving on Thursday 15 March at 4:30pm US time as a speaker on the topic “Women’s Access, Participation and Portrayal in ITC and Media”. Naturally her focus will be on IT.
She also hopes to be meeting with a number of delegates which will give her an opportunity to discuss the work VICT4W has been doing and championing the initiatives underway and celebrating our amazing track record.
Congratulations to Chris on this amazing trip and opportunity.
